How AI Photo Measurement Works

Our AI uses perspective analysis and object recognition to estimate dimensions from photos. By identifying known objects in the frame (doors, credit cards, people, common furniture), the AI creates a scale reference to calculate the size of the target object. Including a known reference object in your photo significantly improves accuracy.

Best Practices for Accurate Measurements

For the most accurate results, photograph the object straight-on rather than at an angle. Place a credit card, coin, or ruler next to the object as a reference. Ensure good lighting and capture the entire object in the frame. For room measurements, photograph from a corner to capture multiple walls. For furniture, photograph from the front to capture width and height accurately.
